Moccasins

Author: R. Fast / Labels:

The soft, supple moccasins of life,
See them wander, ever so aimlessly along.
Brilliant lights of shooting stars crush the ice
of hardened hearts.
Wishes fall upon seemingly deaf ears, pleading
to the heavens for ones twin flame.
Hush, dusk does come, on slight wings the zephyrs
of love shake the wildflowers of the soul.
The sweltering devotion of a cranberry heart,
spilling over, revealing the one true desire.

Run the Road

Author: R. Fast / Labels:

Run the road.
Go through life on fire.
Find that love that sets you free.

If we have but one,
why waste what's given?

Is it merely fear?
Fear that sends us hiding.
Run the road.
Find your peace.

Simple

Author: R. Fast / Labels:

Things would be simple, if I were young again.
Without the burdens of the world.
Without responsibilities and knowing.
Things would be simple.

Things would be simple, without all the wars.
With peace and forgiveness and perhaps even more.
Then, things would be simple.

Things would be simple, if we only let them be.
If we stopped worrying about money and success.
If we only stopped to be kind and care for others.
Things would be so simple then.

But, things just can't be simple.
According to the world.
Things must be difficult and complicated and unjust.
But, if that all went away, then things could be simple.
They could.
They could simply be simple.

Love Denied

Author: R. Fast / Labels:

Why does my love deny me so.
It leaves me lost,
in an overwhelming seas of despair.

His smile,
It lifts up my soul.
As if towards heaven.

An eternity of yearning,
recognized only by this weight.
So uncomfortable to bear.

Forever in wanting.
Forever I'll wait.

The Introduction

Author: R. Fast / Labels:

I am me.
I am average, a little short maybe, my hair looks red in the sun.
My hands are small as are my feet and my big eyes are a little blue with a caramel flair.
I have high cheek bones or is it muscle? I do not know.
When I smile they make my eyes squint but I really love to do so.

I'm not to thin and not to fat but a bit self conscious to that fact.
In a coastal city I dwell with my love. Two cats and no children to speak of.
I've finished some college, I'm proud of that. Yet I want to continue only for what? I'm really not sure how about that.

I love to read and love to write, I'm addicted to the web and T.V., but only at night.
I like cats, and stars, and flowers, and sun. Bright and happy, 'cause I like to have fun.

I may come off strange to others, a fact. I collect mail order catalogs, talk to much when I'm nervous, I'm almost always in a great mood and can hardly ever be mean to anyone in person.I sometimes speak my mind a little to much, I love to press authority and discover things with my sense of touch.

I've always wished I was important and made a difference some how. To have my name known and some money just now. I wish every day was like the Christmas season, with everyone so nice and kind. So caring and willing to give a little time.

One secret I warn, may it be truth or it fiction. When alone in my house I practice magic with conviction.

Now that you know a little of me. Let's hear about you, a challenge for thee.

I am February

Author: R. Fast / Labels:

I got this idea from the Freaky Friday #96 post of A Creative Journal. The original poem is about the new year. Here is my version for February. Enjoy.

I am February.

I am love, adoration, affection without end,
I remind the world what's worth living for.

I will whisper sweet nothings in your ear;
softly kissing your neck and leaving an imprint
on your heart.

I am February.

The cold to spur a lovers embrace.
The promise of good yet to come.

I am February.

A time to let the one you love know you care.
